Originally from North Yorkshire, Will qualified from Newcastle University in 2012. He decided to make Newcastle his home and stayed to undertake a 2-year training program working in various departments within Newcastle Dental Hospital alongside working in general dental practice.

 

He then spent a year working in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in James Cook University Hospital as a Senior House Officer. He developed a keen interest in surgical procedures and over the past 7 years has always split his time between hospital roles and general dental practice. Currently he works part time in James Cook as a Speciality Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, carrying out oral surgery procedures, managing facial trauma and caring for those with oral cancer.

 

In 2014 Will became a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College in Edinburgh. He is keen to maintain and develop his skills in all areas of dentistry and regularly builds on his knowledge by attending courses on a range of topics.

 

Outside of dentistry, Will enjoys running, DIY and at times dismantling classic cars (sometimes they even get put back together!).
